Growing Up

Growing Up

A Poem by Michaela Bell
"

developing

"
Wooshing wind, sporatic clatters, and loud noises boomed
the atmosphere was chaotic, clouding this confined space
a small shed that yearns to thrive into a parking garage
this immature mind needed flourishment
a boy who had not found himself, instead found
into a world of uncertainty

this individual, isn't who he saw himself as
like an egg shell, that was hard,
he held something soft on the inside

something brewing,
but yet not expressed,
instead in negativity,
he will find himself

like most young men
throw a stick, ignite a fire
pass an exam, and aspire to be a mathematician
the chain of growth continues on
and all of just are in need to learn.

Your writing style reads different from most of the writings I read here but in a good way. Interesting use of words and shaping/framing/structuring your piece.
