Closed Door

Closed Door

A Poem by Michaela Moerke

No lock
No way in
But there is still a knock
Crawling under your skin

The door is closed
Don't dare open up
For what will expose
May just blow up

The monster inside
Quiet for so long
It lets out a cry
What have you done?

This is very intense and I like the suspense this has as it indicates something supernatural and frightening behind the door. Love it!

Ahhh! I love it! Gives me the chills! The last part is really amazing. I can feel the emotion is the question. Great job!

Don't open the door!!!

Favorite line: there is still a knock .. crawling under your skin.

I'm imagining the forboding knock on the unopenable door - seeping into and crawling under your skin.
