A Poem by michaela A breaux

I can see you. I can hear you.

In my veins I feel so cold as you wonder through, never leaving my heart.

Feel the icy thin blood slip out into the opening, scarlet red from navy blue.

Hear my scream. Hear my cries.

Inside I hide my pain, my fears, most of all my tears.

You say, they say, I say.

Why did we listen? Why did we care?

I closed my eyes, inhailed a deep breath and felt barely new.

Stress sliped out scarlet red, cries herd from shrieks of fears.

Never seen what could have been.

In my veins you travel to my heart.

Icy cold, barely touched, dream crushed.

The spilling of the scarlet red, thin blood, cured the pain, the stress, the agony.

I lay here icy cold, untouched.
