Untitled 26

Untitled 26

A Poem by Michael Hess

I'm four hundred miles away from you,

And it's eating me up inside.

I don't care about the paycheck,

This is a waste of our time.

I know we see the same stars

Under the same night sky.

I feel so far away from you tonight,

And I need to see those eyes.

I can look into your eyes again,

And hear you call my name.

Those days I spent away from you were hell,

And I'll never leave again.

I know we see the same stars

When you're laying by my side,

And I feel so high up in the clouds,

And I know everything's alright.
