Untitled 17

A Poem by Michael Hess

From a thousand miles away, he held your heart,

But I still told you I love you, and you still stayed by my side.

Baby, when you look at me, your eyes shine bright,

Reflecting the glow of the moonlight. You make everything alright.

I know you have your life planned, but things change,

Life doesn't follow the train tracks through each and every town.

So take a leap, take a chance. If not,

Then save me the last dance. Honey, I'll never let you down.
