Poem for Alysha

Poem for Alysha

A Poem by Michael Hess

I was falling down the deepest hole,

When you caught me, kissed me, and made me whole.

I once thought I'd stood on the highest hill,

But you brought me even higher still.

Your voice is the most beautiful thing

When I strum my guitar to the songs we sing.

Your shining smile and your ocean eyes

Peel away my most intricate guise.

But God's greatest creation is your heart,

More than the most colorful sunset or the brightest stars.

I know these lines won't win your heart,

But for you, anything is worth a shot.

Awesome work, loved the flow. The only think which I found a bit shaky was:

But God's greatest creation is your heart,

More than the most colorful sunset or the brightest stars.

I know these lines won't win your heart,

As your heart is kindof repeated twice and close together. Anyway gj keep it up especially the flow :)
