It's Just... Not Enough...

It occurred to me almost as soon as it ended. It didn't matter how I felt while it was happening. Yes, it felt good... better than good. You are soft, and warm, and gentle. The way you feel in my arms with your body as close as you can be... makes everything around us vanish. You held the hug closer and longer than I expected... and I became lost under your touch. And then, when you released me from your embrace... I knew... it just... wasn't enough. I could hold you and be held by you... forever. If I held you through five lifetimes... it still wouldn't be enough. If you said eternity and beyond... then we would be getting closer to the amount of time it would take to satisfy my need for you. There are many things we can't get enough of with each other. Whenever I think about you... I smile. Whenever something reminds me of you... I feel warm. Whenever I see you... my heart quickens. Whenever you smile my way... I feel a joy I can't describe. And whenever you touch me... even with the smallest of touches... I am reborn. My life is about you... my worth is in making your life as perfect as I can make it. You... are my world... and you make me complete. It's just...not enough to hold you. It's just... not enough to say I love you. It's just... not enough... it's just...not enough.
