Christmas time is near

It's that time of the year

when trees are up

intwined with lights

the glow can be seen from miles

It's that time of the year

when laughter and joy

fills that void

we missed all year

It just seems to be

the time when we

can gather and talk

for hours nonstop

the presents will glow

and families come home

It's that time of the year

hotchocolate

and cookies

bells and carols

it's the time to pray

to celebrate the glorious day

the lord was born

because it that time of the year

and everyone know

 christmas is finally here.

oh i wish i had read this before christmas. Christmassy spirit :D I think you seem to capture the heart warming side of christmas beautifully. It seems like the only time when the earth seems have slipped into a fairytale and all can be right- for some at least- lets not forget those who a less than that lucky. Anyway, good job :)
