Giving in

Giving in

A Poem by misha

I fight

I tug and pull

yet I can't move an inch

I'm caught

in this web

your web

I'm struggling to move

to breath

I tremble beneath you

Beneath the weight of us

of what we used to be

I jerk and  quiver

I'm paralyzed

I'm caught in this web

Your web of lies

I cry

I sink into the depths

of your eyes

The eyes that once kept me at ease

Your words float around me

they sting like venom

such proper words

for the acts you commit

I'm weak around you

I die around you

I'm just your puppet

something to keep you entertained

I fight and fight

I just can't do it anymore

you devour me whole

taking every inch of me

Every inch of my soul and innocence

I'm gone

I'm gone because

I gave in
