The smoke in the air

The smoke in the air

A Poem by misha

I can't see
the smoke is thick
seas of gray
depths of blindness
so many voices
cry out
to me
I can't breath
my lungs
stop working
I fall
on the smoke
like a cloud
it bursts apart
and yet
I'm down
my eyes
fall
leaving the pitch black
I fall
into eternity
into your arms?
I wake
to find
it was you
your the smoke
the atrocity that killed me
with you I'm weak
and all the voices
my own voice
telling me to leave you
but yet
here I lay
you asleep
and yet I stay
because I'm afraid
I go to sleep
and the smoke consumes me
