Infinite

Infinite

A Poem by Lorelei Middlesex
"

We are legend. We are infinite.

"

The world: a stage, a masquerade.
Behold tonight a grand parade
of queens, of kings for grandeur fit;
at midnight, yells of, “Infinite!”

The rest be left to whisper that
which paved and set a golden track.
The batch of dreams that Heaven lit,
they'll crow at midnight, “Infinite!”

And if the stars could speak they’d say,
with every stream of dancing ray,
“What legends here once came to sit?
Those legends of the Infinite.”

Author's Note

Lorelei Middlesex
The graduation ball committee at school asked me to write some sort of poem/introduction for our graduation ball invitations. Our batch name is "Infinite" since we're graduating high school in 2008.

Further explanation:
1. infin8
2. the infinity sign looks like the number eight (8) on its side

Anyway, here's the poem called, of course, "Infinite." It's somewhat short since a graduation ball invitation poem can't exactly be long, can it?
