Contrary

Contrary

A Poem by miahstr

Her perfume smelled of roses
yet it was a lily fastened to her hair
She had make-up despite having no need
She wore a strapless dress
with a strapped brassiere
Had a long face with rounded sunglasses
She was witty when the room went quiet
and dropped pens in the loudest rooms
She could dance only the polka
Sing in only baritone
She loved a lot
and liked only a little
She had time for anything
but no time for anyone
She loved adventure
but only in a 3 mile square block
She was full of contradictions
empty of predictions
and the only one I never forgot

About
I am a ship on a stormy sea being blown every which way. I have set a course but who knows at which shore I will stay. I write in my free time and my ultimate goal is to inspire epiphany an "oh I didn.. more..
