touch

touch

A Poem by mia

run your fingers through my hair
touch my cheek
no ones there
move your fingers along my arm
to see that i self harmed
move to my desk and reach inside
a bottle of Advil
ever pill gone from site
move back to me
but cant get there
they push you away
the police are here
to bag my limp body
no one can save me
i am long gone
push back the tears try to be strong
one last look
at your daughters face
one last memory that can never be erased
but then you see one last thing
and faint smile
on my lips
then the bag goes *zip*
move to my bed and pick up the note
that i left you
before i over dosed
you look at it tears blurring your vision
then u see what i have written
"to the best mother a girl could ask for
hold my hand before they take me cuz i know
you don't want me to leave
i might be blue and cold to the touch but dear mother i love you very much
you held my head when i cried you gave me a place i could hide
u gave me a home and a life to live i'm sorry it had to end like this
i know its selfish but dear mother i can not help it
i spent to many of my days hopping one day i would be ok
but that day has not come
so i must leave i'm sorry mom
don't blame your self you are the best
this is how i must rest
take my hand and kiss me good bye
cuz tonight i will fly
i will watch you from above
i will make sure you are loved
take a breath don't hold in the tears
even after all these years
let them out
cry a little
tell all my friends that i love them
tell people i forgive them
i love you forever and always please don't forget me
from your child"
so she sits there all in tears
hurt and scared
she lays down
just then her youngest son
walks in the room
takes her hand and curls up next to her
slowly they sleep
with tears dripping down there cheeks
the son hold a toy
his sister gave him
a stuffed little bear
that says
"i love you forever and always"
