So when you start to think

That you are this and such

Everything crumbles

As you surprise yourself

Things constantly change

We are no exception

What is there to hold

Is a heart pure and true

I've put on a mask

That I thought was skin

It covered me and tricked

When the crowd dispersed

And I'm back alone

I come home to her

And masks or skin

Shall be removed

Hey! Im late in seeing this... 9 years late but i cant help but notice how relatable this is. The underlying message is to be true to yourself and i couldn't agree more. A person who talks too excessively. Their ambition to be someone they are not bent what they belieged in, their morals. Overall I truly enjoyed this piece.
