StigmaA Poem by mhylandsA stigma exposed and spreading My attempts to cover it in vain Like wildfire fueled by insecurity Impervious even to heavy rain Stain unrestrained - shamed, insane Pestilent blemish without a remedy Immune to the resistance Adapting to vicarious means A parasitic existence Viral euthanasia - missing identity Captured in a temporal cell Crying out within these four walls In need of anything to quell This pain, an answer to my calls Forgotten - infectious quarantine Languishing this state of being Soon, the stigma will devour me Fighting to retain dominance For when I can truly be free Dissipating - shade permeates
