Song of the Ages

Song of the Ages

A Poem by mhylands

Drawn towards a delicate melody
An elegance dancing in the chill breeze
Cautious beauty reaching out for embrace

Enticing pursuit to uncover the source
Desiring an encounter so divine
As song echoes and fills the air
The way becomes difficult to find

This pleasant ambrosia addicting
Unable to satisfy when consumed
Without discovering the origin

Seasons pass by unnoticed
Enveloped in only this aria
Beckoning the chance upon
While remaining ever illusive

Until that final day
