As the Stone Disintegrates

As the Stone Disintegrates

A Poem by mhylands

A stone haphazardly passed amongst all
My precious gem
Feigning ignorance towards its value
Despite the crowd having appraised it

Chastising the impurity
A blight upon communications
In open, admitting a disinterest
Neglecting the unholy extrapolations

An abomination better drowned in a bloodbath
Flayed and skinned at the wounds
Weathered until it is disintegrated
Or via radioactive incineration

A stone that should have been left unturned
My poisoned gem
Festering in the hands that cradle
Detriment procuring a state of regret

Soliloquy reverberating throughout my chamber
Echoed sonance devoid melody
Harbinger to an immortal dissonance
Valkyrie for an afterlife sans solace
