BloodlustA Poem by mhylandsTranquil waters stirred, fires
slowly burned Isis blessed typhoon, mighty
hunger yearned Sword of god’s crusade, smote
demon’s she’s made A vengeful wrath has brewed, an
evil we’ve created
In the age of colossal monuments We seek out glorious
accomplishments Another life to memorialize Another god to idolize
Push forth (push forth) Towards war (towards war) Until we slake this unquenchable
bloodlust Push forth (push forth) Towards war (such gore) Devour foes ‘til our triumphant
victory Sail on, overseas, in the breeze Frozen water, reeks of death Icy slur, bleak, it burns So we must Push forth (sail forth) Towards war (such gore) Push forth (push forth) Towards war (towards war)
Hear the oceans roar Steer the ship with oar Fear the deathly door Here in endless storm
In the end of days, when time
stands still Seas conquer land and mountains crash
down We shall remain as gods of this
