Phthisis

Phthisis

A Poem by mhylands

Forgotten in my own phthisis

Having broken down the aegis

Of incondite construct

Imprisoned by a newfound stasis

The maelstrom of my salacious indulgence

Has left naught, my mind fallow

Lingering on nothing more than a presence

The imperative black out will follow

Clenched to the sheets

Of misanthropic perspective

Perched upon the seat

Of amalgamated introspective

This shell I have grown

Breaks at the seams
