Collection of Short Prose, pt.II

A Poem by mhylands
"

Part two of a collection of short pieces

"

And so the game starts

In dissociated bewilderment

A false reality is conjured

Where hidden desires are fulfilled

∴              ∥              ∴              ∥              ∴

Delineated by a veracity irregardless the consequence

I fear my resolve has weakened

Only time will tell

If I can continue to subdue

The hunger growing in me

As night takes reign over

And I feel the beast within

When the lights run out

I know what’ll begin

∴              ∥              ∴              ∥              ∴

A paramount destruction

Dismissing the lies untold

A revelation

For a submissive pariah

Blacked and cursed degradation

Plagued by this monstrosity

Lost hope, false truths,

Ever circling this crownless messiah

∴              ∥              ∴              ∥              ∴

Awaiting upon the hill tops

A vast expanse lies before me

The snow laden fields afore

Delicate and ever beautiful

∴              ∥              ∴              ∥              ∴

Sheltered in an elegant sanctuary

Impervious to our perpetual hell

Basking in the sun’s warm embrace

∴              ∥              ∴              ∥              ∴

A tripointed affair witnessed by all

Unwilling to compare the embittered downfall

Shaking in fear from the thoughts untold

Relentless antagonist as the events unfold

Such lackluster fanfare

∴              ∥              ∴              ∥              ∴
