The Devil's Deal

The Devil's Deal

A Poem by mhylands

A mark to seal, the devil’s deal

No longer feel, this isn’t real

He planted the seed, I carry out the deed

Such a dreadful seed, but I need to feed

Reaching out to maggot infested hands

Telling me it is better this way

An acid rain falls around me

Where can I see you once more

My hair stands on end, as I see the bend

Because I won’t mend, before the end
