A Cause

A Cause

A Poem by mhylands
"

Anti-government?

"

Honor is just a figment of a dead age

The cowards flee at the sight of a threat

Nobility reigns in a select few

Willing to sacrifice themselves to protect their own

What’s left is a cluster of dumb f***s

Incapable of processing the meaning of existence

It’s every man for himself

And f**k everyone who gets in your way

Bound hands fall to the ground
And the flicker of hope suffers its final defeat

Devouring hands that feed, ignoring consequence

If you want to witness a new age
Follow me with your head held high

This is a calling to a powerful entity
For self-preservation and evolution

Put aside the individualist and join the greater fight

Cleanse the brainwash with fire and acid
Find the true human instincts that know a greater purpose

Together, we will rise to the threats against us

Together, we will create a new world
