SMXII - III

SMXII - III

A Poem by mhylands
"

SMXII covers a series of writings I did during my drunken summer of 2012. Often, they were related to love, which is a difficult subject for me. When drunk, I wrote in my little black journal.

"

Let’s rise above this

Let’s just raise a fist

We shouldn’t be afraid

Let’s seal it with a kiss

Something needs to be done about all the f*****g s**t

Tying the masses to the sails of oppression

Free ourselves of the web

Entangled to failed structures

Break our shackles from the bed

And leave these hopeless fixtures

I see it in your eyes, a passion burning deep inside

I see what you try to hide, a poison thrown aside

Let’s end it now

Let’s break it down

There’s nothing to fear

Let’s kill the crown
