Another song/poem, though I'm perfectly aware that this is the wrong time of year for some of us lol. still, i couldn't think of much...

The Song Of Spring

 

Awaken to another day

Upon skies of amber shining so bright

Though I feel so empty inside

When you’re not around

 

Mistaken, in my bitter ways

Yet time never fades the memory of your smile

And I’ll be by your side

If you feel lost somehow

 

You’re always beautiful

Vermilion hues and gold

Splashed deep across the sky

When you’re here with me

These moments of serenity

I just want these to last until the end of time

And somehow I can’t say exactly how I feel

Yet when I look deep in your eyes, you know nothing’s concealed

 

Upon rose petals floating upon crystal lakes

Over raindrops of sorrow, and as daylight breaks

Could you ever see how much I cherish you each day

Somewhere upon the song of spring

To the skies to where night begins

Can’t you see how much I love you in every way

And I wonder, do you ever feel like you need me

When you look at me

For I know this is real, maybe someday you’ll see

Upon the worlds of dreams

For the colours of your eyes, shine in the sky

Over fields of lilac and green so high

 

A melody of life upon the winds

As shadows fall aside into light

Unforgettable, here you are

Another moment to treasure inside

 

And it’s so beautiful whenever you sing

As the future unfolds, as new moments take flight

Indescribable, we’ve come so far

Though eternity calls out in our minds

 

Please don’t forget this all

Too many times I fall

And it seems like the special times had never been

So please stay here with me

Your heart so beautifully

Sings for all the wonders that no one’s seen

If you knew that you’re amazing, without even trying

To be someone else that you never were

Upon fires blazing, crimson embers they’re crying

As upward they’re flying to somewhere above

If only the skies would open and it started raining love

So if you ever could hear this tonight

This is me, wishing I could be by your side

Though sometimes I wonder if I’m good enough for you

I have heard it said that we all have someone that goes to bed with us on their mind. This poem just reminds me of that statement. The above verse speaks volumes to me. Great poem!

A beautiful poem for Spring. I like the description and the questions in the poem. Spring is my favorite part of the year. To watch Nature rebirth allow us to forgive and forget and move on with our life. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
