Finally, another song/poem. Here's one after a REALLY depressing time I went through...

 

Smile

 

Staring up at the clouds

At where the sun used to be

In the violet sky

 

As it all falls down

Daylight fades away endlessly

Now nothing’s fine

 

When the world is coloured in shades of gray

When the strands of starlight begin to fray

Across the cliffs upon the raging shores

Of the seas of your heart

 

When you feel you can’t say how it feels inside

When every single day’s a struggle to survive

Like you’re lost inside forevermore

Eternal happiness marred

 

What would I give for you to smile, deep down inside

So please, stay with me for a while, into the night

‘Cause every step of the way

I’m feeling your pain

And what would I give now to take it all away

And be stronger than what we were before

When it’s too much to bear, and be someone more

Out of blizzards and fire

Our spirits fly higher

Yet it’s so hard to look up and say you’re okay

But beyond the darkness, the dawn is always near

So stay with me, there’s nothing to fear

 

Calling out from the depths

As shadows darken dreams within

Through endless tears

 

With every step and each breath

Wondering how you’re gonna win

If the path was clear

 

When it seems like you won’t succeed in this world

When it seems the flag of failure is unfurled

And when it seems like you’re finally knowing

How cold the world can be

 

Look inside you for the strength to carry on

Though it can be so hard, when all hope is gone

And when you’re keeping in the sadness with nothing showing

When the future’s so bleak
