Symphony of Destruction - The Second Movement (Black Sky, Red Rain)A Poem by Undying GloryThis is the sequel to Symphony of Destruction, hope you guys like this one! Once again, a fantasy caricature of wars today.Symphony of Destruction - The Second Movement (Black Sky, Red Rain) The flames descend upon the world. O'er distant stars, o'er black skies and red rain, O'er hallowed cities tall, o'er cold, icy pain The fires of our hatred kindled to infernos Manifesting themselves in harsh, bitter reality Watch as mercy turns to ashes within As compassion is immolated and purged from our very hearts As the truth is twisted beneath it all, We have come to the end; there is nowhere left to fall. High upon raging seas and rising storms, Beyond black frost and stars forevermore, Behind you the scourge arises, Faceless beneath masks of dread and hatred They strike out as oppressors against the weak and helpless Crushing all those who dare oppose, As virtues are tarnished and slowly lost, The petals falling off a wilted rose. Submit! they cry. Submit! Can you not see that resistance is utterly futile? Who shall call from within you what humanity still remains? Upon the ravaged valleys and the lost and the slain Black tears from oceans deep and rivers tainted They flow endlessly beyond the waves and ice Towards our dying destinies and broken skies. Raise your hands, tyrant. Embrace all that you have done. The heavens cry, do you not hear? The world is broken, can you not see? The innocent are slain, do you not know? Are you not satisfied? And in the rising dawn of darkness Sweet, beautiful Innocence stares into the eyes Of her dark, cruel executioner, Once unparalleled in all her beauty She now lies in the depths of your vengeance Awaiting her fate with open arms. The blade is raised. It all shall never rise again.
