The U.N.F.O.R.G.I.V.E.N. 2

A acrostic poem inspired by Metallica's song "The Unforgiven II". Note the references to the song in the poem. Hope you like it!

The U.N.F.O.R.G.I.V.E.N.2

Under the wicked skies you lie with me. 

Nothing left of the sun, nothing left to see. 

Forever wondering if you loved me too. 

Or whether you're like me, you're unforgiven too.

Reading the book of my life that you hold, 

Going page by page, but nothing left to show. 

I stand alone, as I've always done for so long. 

Vulnerable, helpless, wishing you'll be there when I'm gone. 

Embedding this key deep down in you. 

Now you're like me, you're unforgiven too.

2day the world's dark, clouded by what I've done.

I prefer this one over Forgiven. I think this one had more power about it, there was good depth to the images you used with a stronger mix of emotions.

Even better than UNFORGIVEN. If you decide to polish this effort a bit, I'd suggest omitting the 2nd 'you're' in line 4 and the 'always' in line 7. I like 2day... clever.

I just has had to read one of these. Metallica huh? Awesome, one of my old favorites. Umm, nice force, and weight to it. I can imagine the poem as song lyrics. Lol in a way it sounds good "Like" Metallica. I must read more of your poetry.
