The U.N.F.O.R.G.I.V.E.N

A Poem by Undying Glory
"

An acrostic poem inspired by Metallica's song "The Unforgiven", about a man who never took risks in life and ended up regretting it.

"

 The U.N.F.O.R.G.I.V.E.N

Unwilling to risk anything, now look at what I’ve become,

Now everything for me has just come and gone

Forever allowing the world to decide my fate,

Onto the ground I fall, and now it’s all too late.

Realized I couldn’t please them all, no matter what I do,

Gave my all for this, but just couldn’t see it through.

I’m accepting my fate, nothing else can be done,

Vanquished and bitter, insane I’ve become.

End of my story now, I truly am unforgiven,

Now I die in all regret, in the sadness I kept hidden.

This was nicely done with great emotion and meaning put behind the words. It's not easy to produce something like this but you did a good job.

Good acrostic poem... most efforts don't bother with rhymes, so you get extra credit for that. Fives 'nows', though, seems a bit too many. The theme is very tight, again something many acrostic poets don't bother with, so another round of extra credit. :-)

A self damaging, almost cry for change and the only one stopping you is you. A real thinker for those stuck in the same situation. Nice work

Hide the use of the acrostic. Spool it together so it doesn't stand out. Let it unravel like a mystery for those looking for it.
