With every step that I take

I wish this was fake

Wish I could just wake up from this nightmare

 

With every second I bleed

Drown in my sorrow and greed

But it’s no good ‘cos you’re not right here

 

And now all our pictures come spiralling down

And I remembered your face as you cried without a sound

And I remembered it too well

As you ran away from me

 

As I watched

Our love snapped

Like links in a paper chain

And there was nothing I could do to help and

Now you’re gone

And still I don’t know why

Just hear this song

And give me one last try

But even when I’m feeling all alone

I know your voice will take me home
