Suffer Again Part 2

 

What else can we say when we see all the blood?

See the bodies all around, lying flat in the mud?

What happened to peace, to friendship, to love?

Destroyed by a bomb or missile from above

Now the whole world’s watching

Do you even value life?

When you cause everyone so much hurt and strife

Bet they’re dreaming of the day when they finally learn

That the war’s going away and will never return

Guns are blazing, bullets whizzing through the air

Throw down your arms and just leave ‘em there

Never ever to be used again

So they’ll never cause so much pain

Destruction and hurt, just so much loss

All the ammo spent, all the lives lost

Let peace be the answer to our future disputes

‘Cos you shoot until there’s no one left to shoot

Peace is the solution, we don’t deny

Let’s give ourselves another try

 

For all this

Is it worth

To be killing them all

And for what cause

Suffer again

All in flames

To be losing it all

And watch as we all fall

I read this piece twice and I thought the most impactful way to share this poem would be to open up with the last stanza first. I just invisoned you doing this spoken word style in front of an audience. This poem is really good. I enjoyed it and its message. Even if you leave it the way it is (I'm no expert") everyone attention would get tune in to the poem content.

Great Job! I haven't read too many anti-war writings lately. I like how it flows but the phrase "Do you even value life" I think it might be better if you put that by itself. I feel it would make it stand out better.
