Truth or Darkness

Its time to cast some light on the stage

 

Yes, truth can be a banshee
that screams throughout the night,
but truth can't be the villain
that hides things from our sight.

And never is it timid,
or failing to come through.
We simply have to seek it
to live a life that's  true.

The darkness is no monster,
to pull you to the deep.
See, darkness only covers
the ones who sneak and creep.

Now the truth has no darkness,
it's more a light that's free.
Truth begins with believing,
in darkness you can see.

Plain simple is the answer
to darkness in the night.
Demand they tell the secrets
that they hide from the light.

 

So question all the answers,
governments try to give.
For questions light the darkness -
allowing the truth of life to live.

This is beautiful. What prophetic and insightful words. Nice dichotomy. This reminds me of a dream I had once where I was scremaing to a dark sky with a circle of light in the middle of it 'What is the Truth' and someone answered 'It is your voice.'
