The Break UpA Poem by Marshall HansonThis is a free write poem I wrote after my recent break up.With a single sentence you killed my dreams Took apart my heart at the seams Cut me in half like a lazer beam Destroyed my soul Put me out like a cigerette and spit on my grave all of this at the same time my only guilt was loving you for that i paid dearly you say you dont feel the same my broken heart is my own blame the foibles of my own imagination a disaster oof my own making I guess I was the mistro In the orchestra of I love you's I played the violin And sang the song of our demise When all in all it was nothing more then your rhymes Your lies and your lines I am so dispicable for being their Through thick and thin For holding you up for oh so many months I am to be hated for this When in all reality your only mad Cause what you've done to me Has made you feel bad
