Forever Haunted

My poems are always about the same guy. This one's no different. I want to enter this in a poetry contest my school will have next April.

I was just fine

You said let me explain

I wasn't ready

When it came

 

Those words are forever

Locked in my brain

Understand the sitution please

Your words were the same

 

I can't let it go now

We both are to blame

Forever we'll go 'round

Playing the other's game

 

Please don't talk to me

I just couldn't take it

The anger's built up

It's you I would hit

 

Maybe not literally

Though the thought has occured

I just want this gone

These feelings you've stirred

 

If you do read this

It'll be over a year

Since that time between us

Yet the moment still lingers there

 

Still I am just fine

That much is true

Also the truth is

I'm forever haunted by you
