I Could, But I Won't

I Could, But I Won't

A Poem by MusicJunkie
"

I've been writing about this guy for a while so hopefully this is my final goodbye to him.

"

I could write about a girl in love with a Grade A jerk

But I don't want a memoir

And every night I wish for you

Upon a single star

I could write about a naive young girl

But that is my life life story

My life would be so much better

If you became history

I could write about the way I feel for you

But I'm not sure how that is

Today, right now, you are my past

Tomorrow, it's you I miss

I could write about the pain that you have caused

But that would take too long

You've done more than you can know

So listen to my favorite song

I could write about how I still love you

But you don't need to know

You have hurt me for the last time

It's time to let you go

I could write it in a note for you

But why would I do that?
