Cold

Cold

A Poem by The Pretender

Put the pencil to the paper and
watch it move.
Crying out how I'm still
Missing you.
After all this time.

You push me away
tell me I'm being a brat.
How do i still want you after
all of that?
It hurts so bad.

There's a rock band pounding
in my head.
The sad melody,
I cry instead
of laughing.

Cower in a corner my
heart is blue.
suffocated by your piercing gaze.
I love you.

I like the way you described the need and the wish. Nice flow of thoughts and I like the ending to this poem. Could feel the yearning and desire in this excellent poem.

This is deep. Nice work. Someone hiding after being hurt by someone they love... sounds like me, haha...
