Goodbye Kiss

Goodbye Kiss

A Poem by The Pretender
"

umm...

"

Water down my cheeks

Pillows over my lips

There is nothing so sweet

As your goodbye kiss.

My mind drifts away

And all I know now

Is the complicity

Of you, and me

Why did you go

and leave me here alone

My world crumbles in

My thoughts fade to black

I close my eyes

And see yours instead

Dim and cold

As you turn away

The pain in my chest

The tears in my eyes

All because of

Your goodbye kiss.

Very beautiful and sorrowful. I hope no one ever has to go thorough the pain described here...
