Would You?

Would You?

A Poem by Tanu Khurana

On one lonely day,
Would you sit by me,
If I tell you I fear isolation?
Or would you be patient with me,
If I go speechless because of my vacillation?

On one gloomy night,
Would you walk with me,
If I tell you I am constantly scared that somebody's near?
Or would you try to listen to me,
If I tell you speaking up is my irrational fear?

On one happiest occasion,
Would you hold my hand,
If your sparkling gaze finds my emotional exhaustion?
Or would you voluntarily lend me your ears,
And be inclined towards me if I make a confession?
.
.
Would You?
