One man

One man

A Poem by KittyVenus

One man crawls from the grave.

Once a slave,

He had served his master,

Dying faster,

He said these words:

We are like birds,

Like leaves,

The wind is a thief,

Stealing our lives, friends, family away.

Because nobody stays.

Everyone just fades.

Just like how leaves fall off trees,

Lie on the ground, and die.

~ Well said. Slavery is a sad part of our history that can't be ignored. ~
