A Thousand Different Ways

It's about hurting people. Unfortunately, everyone, no matter how careful, will hurt someone they love in there lifetime. C'est la vie.

If I could apologize,

A thousand different ways

I don’t think even that would suffice,

To cover up the pain

Why I said yes,

I cannot recall

But if I could take it back,

I’d take back it all

One or two words,

Could have hurt my friends

But that’s what they wanted,

So I could pretend

That it wasn’t so bad,

That I helped hurt themselves

And now I realize,

How selflessness can hurt

If you read these words,

And understand

I hope that you’ll find me,

And lend me a hand

Maybe you’re not,

As mad as I thought

But this anger of yours,

On myself I have brought

I hope you can forgive,

Or at least that you’d try

Because if you can’t,

My heart surely will die
