Today The Sky Cries

Today The Sky Cries

A Poem by Blackened Soul

The wet trees stand silent, leafless,
stretching their dying arms,
As the warm tears begin to fall,
Towards the sky, their branches scrawl,
For they can feel the natures pain,
Though the day is warm, the air is gray,
And the Earth covers all in it's damp embrace,
It's sorrow, soaked and displaced,
Scattered on each and every face,
One by one, falling to the ground,
As Hope is nowhere to be found,
For today the sky cries,
Echoing with melancholic grace,
Today the sky cries,
Raining on my disgrace.
