Hanging Over

Hanging Over

A Poem by Blackened Soul

Blabbering mouths,
Leaking mumbled transgressions,
Completely unaware, entirely oblivious
Never ending the incoherent barrage,
As the moon shimmers a dimmed reality.
Souls overwhelmed, losing themselves,
As they march further towards obliteration,
Sipping their liquids,
Numbing their thoughts,
Never realizing the toll,
Never knowing the consequence,
Until judgement day comes,
Splitting open their skulls,
Salting the exposed brain in agony,
As the afternoon sun trots across the sky,
Memories cease to exist.
