It's been a year today since the outbreak of the infection, and the fact that I've survived this long is just...amazing. Pete told me I'd die if I left the group, but I did it anyway, and guess who's still alive?

I kind of miss Pete and the others...I mean, they're family after all, but what kind of family turns on their own?  The need for food is high, but when I heard Dad talking to them about how 'she is the weakest' and 'she'll die anyway', I knew I had to get out of there.

At least they won't miss me.
