one hundred ways to play solitaire

one hundred ways to play solitaire

A Poem by mercy party

he reads the saturday evening post
has coffee with her ghost
they used to say every single night
"if your heart stops, so does mine"
he sits in his favorite chair
one hundred ways to play solitaire

This is very doric. Austere, but with an underlying tension and loneliness, almost like a Hopper painting.

One editorial note. "used"?

Impressed. Lot of other peeps write 4pg confessional crap.

This reveals a lot more in 6 lines.
