this morning when i awoke i realized that life is just an act of consumption. A silly little game that we are forced to play. but is life what consumes us or do we consume ourselves? Waking up to a world where acceptance is not the key. ha, such a miserable thing.
You pose a deep, philosophical question. While it is true that life consumes us through ageing and eventual death we are consumers beyond the nourishment we require for sustenance. We consume the land, the oceans, the sky and each other, including ourselves. I know there are in-betweens but most times that's how it seems. Good write!
The poem honest and true words left the reader with something to think about. Consumption. The made-up need of a world making us want what we don't need. I like your logic and truth in your words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

There are three types of people, ones who live happily and content, those who live and try to fix everything for the better of society, and those who live.. Just live in silence, observe, and know that at any moment we can quit this "game" we are all so inevitably playing.
Every Morning, I wake up with a plan. This plan may be the same or different from our creators plan. We as human worry about achieving our plan, than being a part of a grand plan. It's important to believe in a grand plan than individual plan.
Are we forced to play the game? There are so many choices to make.
As a species, we're choosing to consume the resources of this world and destroy it.
But as an individual.... can we make a difference? Maybe not so much in the grand scheme. But we can always choose to play the game in our own way. That is, after all, what makes us individuals.
But you're right, often acceptance is not the key. And that is sad.
All we can do is be ourselves, accept those who will accept us, and ignore haters until they go away. That's my point of view, at least.
Thanks for sharing your insightful thoughts with us.
