Silence is Not Bliss

Silence is Not Bliss

A Poem by Preston Lynch

You know the saying?

Silence is bliss.

Silence is not bliss,

when it's all you hear.

I may see their lips move.

I may hear muted noise.

I may say words no one can understand.

I may not know what they say.

So, silence is not bliss.

I try to understand.

I try to cope.

I try not to cry.

Silence is not bliss.

You enjoy the silence?

Fine.

Come take my place.

Silence is bliss.

Not when it's all you hear.

Silence is not bliss.

i so agree with you, I love the noise, sometimes you want a little quiet but sometimes not so much, and sometimes the silence is too loud. This was really good and I enjoyed reading it
