Lesson Learned

A Poem by Superfluous Thinking

LESSON LEARNED
My mind brings thought to fruition,
Thoughts of life with no submission,
But i've been listening to your every word,
so my thoughts remain in the silent edition,

You tell me how things should be,
I sit quietly and listen,
You tell me what to do with myself,
The sweat on my brow starts to glisten,

Blindly did I follow,
Until my heart went into remission,
I can't believe you put my soul,
Into this awful condition,

but now you are gone,
Took my love with you,
Without my permission,
I dont know where you went,
But you left me standing in our kitchen,

I followed you every single word,
To my own thought I should have listened,
All I can say now is,
Lesson learned
