Hitch Hiking with Love

Hitch Hiking with Love

A Poem by Superfluous Thinking

HITCH HIKING WITH LOVE
Night, after night,
I wander through thoughts, like a hitch hiker wanders the road,
I try to regain my sight,
But the thoughts of you light, my world up as bright as gold,
and your face creeps its way,
Into all of my veins,
the pleasure of your love,
Has never been told,
Then my thoughts lead me down,
All the way to the ground,
Where a familiar sound,
Comes to me quite bold,
it causes me to turn,
while my soul starts to burn,
The waves start to churn,
Can that be you?,
My eyesight yearns,
And there you are,
Standing right in front of me,
My heart has been sold,
So hold onto it tight,
And i'll do by you right,
I've succeeded,
I've already won the fight,
My love for you,
Burns so very bright,
And now that you're mine,
You can follow me,
Back down the thoughtful road
