becoming a man

becoming a man

A Poem by Superfluous Thinking
"

i have always loved writing, but when someone left me in shambles, well, thats the first time i have ever actually written a poem, and now i cant stop

"
BECOMING A MAN
I hid behind,
These divine lies,
Behind these dark skies,
Laid in this childs eyes,
Because this boy was not ready to become a man,
I was filled with sighs,
Sometimes cries,
For the break in these ties,
My anxiety flies,
Because who I am, I will never understand,
But a man I became,
I hold no shame,
Ive relit the flame,
Never to be the same,
I wear my manhood like a brand,
Im now firm like stone,
Not afraid to be alone,
Im drenched to the bone,
By sweat from work of my own,
This man needs no crutch to stand
