When You Think You're Getting OldA Poem by Natalie
His face is stuck from smiling in
deep wrinkles
And his lips are used to hide the teeth he doesn't have. We make him young again, Bring him back to the time he was in his band, When his feet could run and his voice could sing, When he was proud to show off and take on anything. But his days are gone. We make him feel young again, sitting on the floor in a room of guitars playing off each other and showing how good our alternate picking has got. He wants to go back to the day he was young again, So he grabs a guitar to show us what's he's got. Starts singing in Spanish the only way he can talk. © 2010 NatalieAuthor's Note
