Us and Doors

Us and Doors

A Poem by Patsy Star

I’m trapped in my room

You put me here

I put me here

We put me here

It doesn't feel like I’m

trapped until I know

what’s outside my door.

Until I know you’re

outside my door.

And do you feel trapped?

Do you know what’s

outside your door,

behind my door.

I’m sorry this happened,

and I’m sorry that I’m not

sorry that I acted.

I guess we’re both unlucky

We had something

and we had nothing

and I guess I knew that

all along.

We both did a lot so

now there’s nothing to do.

We both put me here

so how dare you say I

put you there.
